Online Contract Changes Require Notification

The US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit ruled that “companies can’t change their contracts and post those revisions online without notifying customers first.”  This ruling may change the current method of online contracting.  Most companies will state in their EULA or contract that they may make changes to the online contract.  This Court made the statement that a contract is between two parties and that one party may not make changes without the consent of the other.
