Opera Free to Higher Education

No, not the singing opera — the web browser Opera. Although much less known than Internet Explorer or Netscape/Firefox, the Opera browser has been around for a long time and is known for its standards-compliant software. Anyone can download and use Opera at no charge. The catch is that there is an ad in this version. In order to use the software without seeing the ad, you can buy it for $39.

Opera has just announced that institutions of higher education can use the $39 version at no charge. Read their press release and an overview of the program.
