Hearing Aid and Cell Phone in One

Starkey Laboratories has created ELI, an instrument which attaches to behind-the-ear hearing aids. Using Bluetooth, the cell phone call is routed to ELI so the user can hear the call. There is also a microphone on ELI, which allows the user to be heard by the caller.

For those that use in-ear hearing aids, there is another version which is worn on a necklace. Communication between the cell phone and this ELI model also uses Bluetooth.
