Next Step for Digital Images: Photosynth?

Blaise Aguera y Arcas, one of the creators of Seadragon, demonstrates how digital images can meld together to create a more interactive environment. In this demonstration, he shows how Seadragon can seamlessly zoom in and out of images, keeping the resolution so that even very fine print is highly readable when you zoom in. He then demonstrates Photosynth, which incorporates Seadragon and another visual technology to show how you could bring images together of the same geographic area, allowing you to move through the area, using the images you’ve brought forward.

It’s a (relatively) long demonstration at almost 8 minutes, but very interesting if you work with digital images.
