Google Testing New Interfaces

Although still pretty clean, Google is starting to add additional links to their homepages in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Korea. Broadband is more ubiquitous in both countries, so that allows Google to take advantage of functionality like animated graphics. Expectations for web sites are also different.  You can see an example by looking at the new design for the South Korean Google site.

The iGoogle interface for Taiwan and Hong Kong is also undergoing some major changes. Notice that content is divided into five boxes, one of which includes the animated graphics. The Hong Kong site allows you to choose English, so you can see which service is tied to each animated graphic.
