MySpace Provides ParentCare Beta

MySpace is beta testing software that will allow parents to keep track of their kids’ user of the service.  ParentCare:

  • notifies the user that the software is in use
  • sits in the System Tray
  • tracks any uses of MySpace from any account on that computer
  • allows you to view events

I haven’t used this, but it looks like it is tracking software only.  I’m not sure if it stops the user from typing specific types of information.  I’m also interesting in what constitutes an “event.”

The deadline for comments is July 31st, so I expect that they will rework the software and come out with either another beta or production-level software.
