220 Million Pixel Screen Resolution
The University of California has bested itself. UC-Irvine had the highest resolution computer display in the world — 200 million pixels. When the group that created this display moved to UC-San Diego, they created another, higher resolution, display. The Calit2 Center for Graphics, Visualization and Imaging Technology created a 220 million pixel resolution computer display. In addition to just having these incredible displays, they are linked via optical fiber which can deliver up to 420 million pixels simultaneously across both. This system is called HIPerSpace — Highly Interactive Parallelized Display Space.
