National Texting Championship
January 6, 2008
Posted by on LG hosted the National Testing Championship in Roseland, New York in April 2007. Each texter had to use a QWERTY keyboard phone and could not use T9 (a shortcut texting service). A phone was placed on a table in front of each participant. As soon as a phrase was flashed onto a screen, each grabbed their phone and started texting. The ones that texted the quickest and with no errors moved onto the next round. The final round was between the East Coast champion — a 13-year-old — and the West Coast champion — a 21-year-old. Guess who won? You’re right! 😉
