MacBook Air

This is now old news, but it definitely has had and will continue to have an effect on future computing.  In January, Steve Jobs introduced the MacBook Air at MacWorld:

Although I haven’t yet had an opportunity to use a Mac, I love the look of it.  Beautiful to look at, quick to boot, and light!  There are a few drawbacks — no internal CD/DVD drives, a user cannot replace the battery, the USB port won’t accommodate all USB gadgets (but you can purchase an extension cable to fix this), and price.  Engadget has a review of the laptop which provides even more details.

As usual, though, Apple has moved the target — good going!
