More Tech Words Into the Dictionary

Merriam-Webster has added a few more technical terms to their dictionary.  You can now find:

• webinar
• malware
• netroots
• pretexting
• fanboy

The key for including new words:

M-W says it picks the new dictionary entries only after it starts to see the words used over time without explanation or translation.

Good to know that these words are starting to become part of our vocabulary.  But I must admit — I had not see “pretexting” before; had to look that one up!
